Who are we?

SANKOFAKUUMBA is a Pan-Afrikan Community Glocal Educational Complex.

We envision and are supporting the coming together of educational processes, organisations, formations, and communities, in building a Pan-Afrikan pluriversal educational institution for sovereign educational repairs.

SANKOFAKUUMBA is one of the main community institutional vehicles of the UBUNTUPACHAVIDYA Peoples’ Communiversity of Planet Repairs Action-Learning (UPCOPRAL) and the Planet Repairs Action Learning Educational Revolution (PRALER)

We are glocal – which means we know that we go further together.

SANKOFAKUUMBA is supporting a series of educational programmes in West Afrika being led by women and young people from indigenous communities.

We are also developing action-learning initiatives in the United Kingdom in Europe with the Afrikan diaspora.

Through bringing together our education and knowledge co-production, we envisage the building of a repaired Pan-Afrikan nation (MAATUBUNTUMAN) with Pan-Afrikan educational sovereignty.

SOWETO – SOUTH AFRICA, JUNE 16: On 16 June 1976 high-school students in Soweto, South Africa, protested for better education. Police fired teargas and live bullets into the marching crowd killing innocent people and ignited what is known as “The Soweto Uprising”, the bloodiest episode of riots between police and protesters since the 1960’s.
